Saitama Chapter Holds Pitha Festival and Children's Cultural Program 2026

Islamic Mission Japan's Saitama Chapter held a "Pitha Festival and Children's Cultural Program 2026" on February 1 at the Baitul Aman Masjid Complex in Gamo, Koshigaya, marking International Mother Language Day and Language Month.
The program was organized to strengthen mosque-centered cultural and social ties among the Bangladeshi community in Japan. Children from Baitul Aman Academy performed Bengali songs, including hamd, naat, and patriotic songs, alongside Arabic songs, while the Dishari artist group of Japan presented a number of seasonal musical performances. Separate pitha (traditional cake) stalls were arranged for men and women, featuring nearly 30 varieties prepared by Bangladeshi women of the community.
Engineer Arifur Rahman and Nihal, Vice President of the Baitul Aman Junior Group, hosted the program. Abdul Malek, Chairman of the Islamic Cultural Foundation Japan, attended as chief guest, while Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, President of IMJ's Saitama Chapter and a member of the Central Advisory Council, delivered the inaugural address. Around 500 Bangladeshi residents of Japan — men, women, and children — took part in the festival.
