Our story
Who we are
Many people come to Japan from different parts of the world in search of employment and livelihood, business and commercial opportunities, higher education and training, or for various other reasons. Japan is a society where modern civilization, materialism, consumerism, and individualistic culture are deeply rooted. These influences also affect Muslims living in Japan, and as a result, some gradually lose the strength of their faith and their Islamic consciousness amid these different cultural currents.
With this belief and sense of responsibility, Islamic Mission Japan was established in 1989 with the objective of conducting Islamic da'wah and welfare activities in Japan. Today, it is a registered, non-political and non-profit social and charitable organization under the Government of Japan.
Mission
To contribute to the development of Japanese society through Islamic education, da'wah, and social welfare activities, while promoting cultural exchange with Japanese people.
Aims and Objectives
The aim and objective of this organization is to seek the pleasure of Allah and success in the Hereafter by inviting humanity toward the way of life prescribed by Allah and demonstrated by the Messenger ﷺ, thereby working for the establishment of peace on the earth and the overall welfare of humanity.

In Verse 103 of Surah Aal-e-Imran, Allah instructs Muslims to remain united and hold firmly together. Let us unite under the banner of Islamic Mission Japan and actively participate in its various activities. Through our collective efforts to uphold and establish the teachings of Islam, let us strive for well-being in this world and salvation in the Hereafter.
