Osaka Chapter Marks Seerat-un-Nabi with Talk and Speech Competition
Islamic Mission Japan's Kansai (Osaka) chapter held a commemorative gathering on Sunday, September 13, 2026, marking Seerat-un-Nabi, the observance of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birth. The event was held at 5:30 p.m. at the Ikuno Community Center and opened with a reminder of the Qur'anic verse from Surah Al-Ahzab, 21, describing the Prophet as the best example for believers.
Chapter president Mushfiqul Mehedi gave a PowerPoint presentation on notable aspects of the Prophet's life. The session was moderated by chapter secretary Miazi Md. Alauddin, with further remarks from finance secretary Atiqur Rahman and Mohibur Rahman.
A speech competition themed on the Prophet Muhammad as an ideal role model was also held, drawing young participants. Hafez Mahmudul Hasan Sajib placed first, followed by Hafez Ariful Islam in second place, Md. Sohan Hossain in third, and Shamiul Haque in fourth. Twelve participants in total received prizes for their contributions.
The program concluded with a communal prayer and a shared meal among attendees.
