Nagoya South Sub-Chapter Forms New Committee for 2026–2028

Islamic Mission Japan's Nagoya South sub-chapter has completed the formation of its new committee for the 2026–2028 session. The setup program was held at a community center in Kariya City, drawing sub-chapter members and officials from various levels in a lively organizational atmosphere.

The event was chaired by IMJ Central President Hafez Maulana Saber Ahmed as chief guest, with Central Vice President Majedul Islam, Central General Secretary Engineer Abdullah Al Maruf, Central Education and Training Secretary Dr. Shahriar Kamal, and Central Da'wah Secretary (Japanese Affairs) Shah Alam Sikder attending as special guests. Members elected the sub-chapter president by direct vote, and other secretariat positions were finalized by consensus through consultation.

Elected for the 2026–2028 term were Azim Alam Bhuiyan as President (re-elected), Rasel Mohammad as Secretary, Omar Faruk as Baitulmal Secretary, Shahidul Islam Mallik as Education and Training Secretary, Fateul Islam Bijoy as Publicity and Publications Secretary, Foyzullah Siddiqui as Social Welfare Secretary, and Md. Sohel Mia as Cultural and Children's Affairs Secretary.

In his address, Saber Ahmed stressed strengthening mosque-based activities to spread the message of Islam in the greater Nagoya region, and called for coordinated da'wah work, expanded civic and social support for expatriate Muslims, and unity in building a society grounded in Islamic values. Other guests spoke on organizational strengthening and building ties among the Bangladeshi community. The program concluded with a prayer led by the central president.
