IMJ Leadership Mourns Passing of Mother of Former Central Secretary

The mother of Muhammad Zahurul Haque, a former central secretary of Islamic Mission Japan and a respected community elder among Bangladeshis in Fukuoka, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, while under medical treatment at Delta Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She had long suffered from age-related illness.
IMJ Central President Hafez Saber Ahmad and Secretary General Engineer Abdullah Al Maruf expressed deep grief over her passing, prayed for the forgiveness of her soul, and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. The leaders prayed that Allah grant her a place in Jannatul Firdaus and give the family patience to bear this loss.
She is survived by her children, relatives, and many admirers. Her eldest son is Muhammad Zahurul Haque; another son, who had been living in Tokyo, predeceased her, while her youngest son, Muhammad Enamul Haque, currently lives in Fukuoka with his family. Her grandson, Muhammad Aminul Haque Joy, based in Fukuoka, has been recognized locally after volunteering with the Fukuoka Prefectural Police on traffic safety awareness activities.
The Bangladeshi community in Fukuoka has joined in requesting prayers for the forgiveness of the deceased.
