Disari Shilpi Gosthi Forms New Executive Committee

A group of men gather in a living room, with one man presenting a bouquet of flowers to another man wearing a floral shirt and white cap, while others stand around smiling; a low table with food dishes and flowers sits in front of a red sofa.

Disari Shilpi Gosthi, an organization dedicated to fostering Islamic culture among Bangladeshi expatriates in Japan — including Qur'an recitation, Islamic songs, na'at (praise poetry for the Prophet), poetry, drama, and cultural development programs for children and youth — has announced a new executive committee.

At a ceremony marking the transition, longtime director Neyamot Ullah was honored and thanked for his years of service, while incoming director Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Mahfuz was welcomed with flowers. Mobarak Hossain and Hafez Muzammel Haque, both experienced senior members of the group, were appointed assistant directors. Al-Amin Sarkar was named treasurer, and Md. Zubayer Hossain was named publicity secretary. Hasan Masud, president of Islamic Mission Japan's Saitama chapter, attended the event.

Speakers at the event stressed the importance of nurturing Islamic values and culture among a younger generation growing up in a non-Muslim environment, noting that Disari Shilpi Gosthi regularly organizes cultural and educational activities for children, adolescents, and young adults toward that end.

The organization has invited interested children, youth, and cultural workers living in Japan to join its activities, including Qur'an recitation, Islamic songs, na'at, recitation, drama, and other Islamic cultural programs, by contacting its officials.
