Anjo Sub-Chapter, Aichi Prefecture Holds Ramadan Iftar Mahfil

Islamic Mission Japan's Anjo sub-chapter, part of the Aichi Prefecture chapter, held an Iftar Mahfil to mark the arrival of Ramadan. The program opened with a recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Hafez Engineer Mohammad Shahjahan Parvez.
The gathering was chaired by former marine engineer Mohammad Sohel Mia, with businessman Amir Ali serving as moderator. Fateul Bijoy, Secretary of Islamic Mission Japan's Nagoya South chapter, attended as chief guest.
Several speakers addressed the virtues and significance of the holy month of Ramadan. In his remarks, the chair described Islam as a complete way of life and the Qur'an as guidance for humanity that distinguishes truth from falsehood, adding that Ramadan is the month for attaining taqwa (God-consciousness). The program concluded with prayers and Iftar.
