Islamic Mission Japan held a day-long training session on Sunday, July 26, 2026, for sub-chapter leaders and workers of its Kanto region at a complex in Saitama Prefecture. The gathering brought together responsible officers, members and workers from various sub-chapters to strengthen organisational capacity and religious grounding.

Central President Hafez Maulana Saber Ahmed opened the session, stressing the practice of Islamic values while living abroad, self-purification, and the development of capable, principled leadership. Chief guest Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a member of the Bangladesh parliament and of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's central executive council, spoke on discipline, honesty and good character as the strongest form of da'wah for Bangladeshis living in Japan, urging attendees to draw lessons from Japan's work culture and sense of responsibility.

The day's programme also included a session on the role of sub-chapter leaders delivered by President Saber Ahmed, a group speech competition on "The Islamic Movement: What and Why?", a workshop on running sub-chapter programmes, a quiz, a self-accountability (ehtesab) segment, and a workers' pledge. Islamic Cultural Foundation Chairman Abdul Malek spoke on the organisation's history and legacy, and the event closed with remarks from President Saber Ahmed and a closing du'a led by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Vice President Majedul Islam and Central Social Welfare and Publications Secretary Mir Ali Ahkam Likhon were also present, with Central General Secretary Abdullah Al Maruf moderating the session.
