Civic Reception for Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami (Nagoya 2026)

Islamic Mission Japan's Nagoya Chapter hosted a civic reception for Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Leader of the Opposition in the Bangladesh Parliament and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, at the Shibukawa Welfare Center on Tuesday, May 5. The program included Qur'an recitation, speeches by special guests and the chief guest, a pitha festival, and an Islamic cultural program for children.

The reception drew a large turnout from the Bangladeshi community across Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture, including community leaders, academics, students and professionals.
